Here are two things one can measure his or her relationship against.<br /><br />One of the things that can determine whether you and your partner truly love each other is to look at how your relationship has fared throughout crisis and adversity. It is true that a crisis can bring out both the best and the worst in people. The same can be said about relationships. When a relationship comes out stronger and the both parties in the relationship experience a stronger bond to each other as they go through adversity and after the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisis">crisis</a> has passed, then one can say that they do truly love each other. Moreover, if one is exposed to the worst side of his or her partner yet they still end up together and have strong feelings and attachment to each other is another indicator that a love is true.<br /><br />Another sign of true love is the willingness to sacrifice one’s comfort, convenience and even one’s life for another. Although willingness to sacrifice which is verbally expressed can end up not meeting one’s expectations, sacrifices actually done are a gauge of true love. Sometimes, the degree or the amount of sacrifice a person is indicative of his or her true feelings for another person. These sacrifices do not have to be grand. In fact they may be small acts but the cost of doing it may be so great as to be a sign of true love. For instance, choosing to forego, without resentment or regret, a unique and big opportunity that may arise because of the discomfort, inconvenience it may cause to, or the needs of one’s partner is a sacrifice borne out of one’s love for his or her spouse or partner.<br /><br />With love, one of the greatest expression is sex.
